Common questions
Is this course affiliated with the WOCN Society?
Yes. AFRA Wound Academy is licensed by the WOCN® Society to offer the Wound Treatment Associate (WTA) Program, with a WOCN-approved Course Coordinator on staff.
Do I need employer approval to enroll?
No — RNs and LPNs enroll individually. If your facility or agency wants to enroll multiple staff at once, contact us about group enrollment.
Where do clinical rounds take place?
Rounds happen with an AFRA wound physician across our Philadelphia, South Jersey, and Wilmington, DE service area.
I already completed WTA training elsewhere — can I do my clinical rounds with AFRA?
Yes. AFRA’s physicians offer standalone supervised clinical rounding hours for nurses who need to meet the WOCNCB’s 16-hour requirement independent of full enrollment. Contact us to arrange placement.
